Pedagogical Formation Unit

Pedagogical Formation Education is a program designed for bachelor's degree graduates who have not graduated from faculties of education. In 2023, according to a decision made by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), pedagogical formation education began to be offered as an elective course within undergraduate programs.

According to YÖK ARTICLE 9: (1), the duties of the Pedagogical Formation Unit are as follows:

• To prepare the academic calendar and course schedules, determine the implementation principles of the program, monitor its applications, develop strategies, and evaluate the programs
• To determine the course schedules of the teaching staff who will conduct the courses, in cooperation with other units
• To ensure the regular execution of the program by providing coordination among relevant units and individuals
• To prepare and implement exam schedules
• To prepare the list of schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education for the Teaching Practice course and the list of students who will attend the practice
• To assign academic advisors and mentor teachers based on schools and student groups
• To carry out the necessary procedures for obtaining permissions from the governor's office and the Provincial Directorate of National Education for the practices
• To perform other duties assigned by the Rectorate
