Message from Our Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa on the Occasion of August 30 Victory Day

Rector of Kayseri University (KAYÜ), Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, issued a message on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of August 30 Victory Day.

In his message, Rector Karamustafa emphasized that August 30 represents a great victory written in golden letters in the glorious history of the Turkish nation and stated:

“The Turkish nation, which has lived freely and independently throughout history, has always known how to rise from the ashes even in its most difficult moments and has never allowed its enemies to prevail.

The national struggle for independence, waged under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was crowned with the glorious victory achieved on August 30, proclaiming to the entire world that the lands of Anatolia would remain the homeland of the Turkish nation forever.

Today, our responsibility is to draw strength from the heroism and sacrifices of our ancestors, advance our country in every field, and make Türkiye a leading nation. To achieve this, we must work harder, produce more, and make greater efforts. As Kayseri University, with this awareness, we will continue to contribute to education and science and move forward with confidence in line with our country’s vision for the future.

On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy, gratitude, and appreciation all our martyrs and our veterans who have passed away, foremost among them Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, and his comrades-in-arms. Happy August 30 Victory Day.”
